This is the third announcement for the XVIIth ISAC Meeting to be held in Valladolid , Spain , from July 1st to July 5th 2008. The purpose of this announcement is to provide guidelines for Registration & Abstract Submission and Hotel Reservation.
All applicants should use the online Submission and Registration form on the website http://www.ibgm.med.uva.es/isacva.
In the same website you will find a specific form for hotel reservation (Accommodation form). Please, follow the guidelines provided in this form that will be handled by the Travel Agency.
The abstracts will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee and may be selected for oral or poster presentation taking into consideration author preferences. Abstracts will be published on a booklet to be distributed among congress attendant. The following formats are considered:
Invited Lectures
The invited speakers have already been selected by the Organizing Committee. Their talk should last about 25 min followed by 5 min for questions.
Oral Presentations
The time allotted for oral presentations is 20 min. The talk should last about 15 min which leaves another five minutes for questions. Abstracts selected for oral presentation will be grouped based on the ISAC 2008 topic list provided in the Registration form.
Poster Presentations
Presently we expect that each poster will be exhibited for the entire duration of the meeting. The poster exhibition will be organized on thematic areas based on the ISAC 2008 topic list.
As the distinction between oral and poster presentations is only a matter of presentation mode dictated by time and space, both categories will be assessed by the same criteria of scientific merit. The Organizing Committee will decide upon the final mode of presentation.
Please note that acceptance of each abstract is conditional upon payment of the registration fee of the presenting author. Note also that a participant can present only one communication (oral or poster) but may appear as a joint author on other communications. We encourage submitting authors to register via the online registration system simultaneously with the abstract submission.
Submitted abstract will not be edited in any way. Thus, typographic and grammatical errors that appear in a submitted abstract will still appear in the printed abstract. Authors are requested to conform to the following guidelines for submission of abstracts:
- The abstracts are to be submitted in English according to the instructions and requirements provided in the registration form.
- The abstract submission constitutes a formal commitment by the author to present the corresponding presentation in the session and time slot assigned by the Organizing Committee.
Deadline for abstract submission is the 30th of April.
Notification of abstract acceptance and mode of presentation (oral or poster) will be mailed to the presenting author. In this notification, recommendations for presentation and detailed information regarding session, date and hour of presentation will also be provided.
